Ben Clarkson

I spent 10 years as a Benefits Realisation Specialist and Product Marketing Manager at one of the UK's leading NHS clinical software providers. In that time I built hundreds of commercial assets, value propositions, ICPs, messaging frameworks, positioning documents, and benefits models, that were used in live healthcare procurements, board presentations, sales conversations and investment decisions with healthcare organisations across the globe.

What I noticed consistently was that the organisations who struggled commercially were not the ones with weak products. They were the ones without the commercial infrastructure to make their product's value visible. The messaging was vague. The value proposition was generic. The benefits model did not exist. The ICP was undefined and unclear.

Before moving into the NHS tech supplier space, I spent several years in financial accounting and project management roles across NHS organisations, including part-qualification with CIMA. My financial background brings discipline to value modelling, ensuring every assumption is clearly articulated and every figure is robust enough to withstand detailed scrutiny.
